This position is responsible for Corporate Disability Management and Accommodation (Occupational and Non-Occupational Claims), Employee Return to Work, Employee & Family Assistance Program, and Workplace Wellness programs.
This position is responsible for Corporate Disability Management and Accommodation (Occupational and Non-Occupational Claims), Employee Return to Work, Employee & Family Assistance Program, and Workplace Wellness programs. This position will be covering a 1 year parental leave of absence. The successful candidate will provide expertise in the areas of: • Disability Management (including occupational claims) and Accommodation • Employee Assistance Programs • Wellness Programs (including Mental Health Programs) Taking a proactive and strategic approach, you will provide leadership and advice in relation to wellness initiatives and the management of complex occupational and non-occupational disability claims. With a thorough knowledge of the legislation, you will liaise with WSIB and other external contacts while providing support, guidance and leadership to department teams on complex files. Community College Diploma or University Degree in Human Resources or related area of study Certificate in Disability Management and WSIB management considered an asset. At least three years' disability management and employee health and wellness experience. Proven skills in mediation, conflict management, and problem solving. Confidence in partnering with Human Resources staff and client departments to collaboratively find solutions to complex issues. Strong knowledge of human rights, employment, and WSIB legislation.
