At our last community of practice session we had a great conversation about how to use technology (and how not to use it) to engage people.
We all learned about types of new technology that can facilitate more connection aside from video calls (such as Slack, Mural, Mentimeter, Google Meets, Zoom and applications that promote well-being like VP GO Forward, ParticipACTION’s UP and GO, UWALK, Headspace, Calm, Breethe and others). Robert had some great tips on how to drive engagement without relying on technology, or using existing technology with things like planned spontaneity.
We want to keep the conversation going, how are you engaging people while working remotely? Share your tips, or ask questions.
I think that using chat apps or websites like Microsoft Teams is such a great way to make sure you can still have some of those impromptu and spontaneous chats with coworkers that you typically would have working in the office! Helps everyone still feel connected :)
