Critical Reflection
In 2022, I am going to renew my commitment to Workplace Wellness which will include, finally, completing the development of a year long plan of activities for employees to engage in.
Through the various components of Unit WWC00, a fuller approach was identified. If 1 thing stood out, it was the need to take a closer look at the Psychological Health and Safety Standard. The Standard should be the guide towards creation, implementation, and evaluation. It is easy to say we are going to but without a true understanding of what it means, anything implemented will have a reduced chance of success and may ultimately not be what is needed in the workplace and not have the support of leaders and employees.
This past year I have found that I have the intention to stay on plan but have been easily taken off track. This is something I want to change. I am committed to Workplace Wellness and began the journey in creating a programme/plan in 2016. It has always been on the ‘to do’ list but has been moved to the back burner numerous times. I want this to change so I am going to create a timeline with achievable goals throughout the year in order to maintain momentum and achieve the goals I have set.

Great reflection and honesty. It's so easy to get caught up in other work and forget the most important asset of a company which is the employees. Workplace wellness benefits staff, management and the organization as a whole.
