Communication is a MUST!
Communication is a MUST!
I have learned the importance of having an open, effective line for communication. This includes gathering information from employees through different methods such as one on one conversations, anonymous surveys, group brain storming meetings. The goal is to gather employee feelings, perspectives, opinions, and experiences of their workplace wellness. Until you have feedback from employees, there will not be tangible issue(s) to work on and improve, or know what things are working effectively. Having two communication allows for a trusting and supportive relationship to foster, which can improve the working environment. The importance of a consistent employee survey is a key takeaway. This is something I want to implement in my unit along with more awareness presentations on wellness in our workplace.

Hi Cherie - very insightful, clear and effective communication channels are critical for success. I like your idea on group brainstorm meetings that helps to build buy in and ensure everyone has skin in the game.
