Critical reflection - Assessing the current state
I think that what impacted me the most is the step by step process that truly needs to unfold in order to be successful. The involvement and collaboration of all the stakeholders from top down; the importance of information gathering before putting together the action plan; the understanding of the different structures and hierarchies of businesses and also leadership styles to help you predict how the changes will be accepted and adapted. If you just dive in head first before knowing most of this, you will fail to inspire and fail to implement meaningful changes - and leave the employees to be skeptical and doubtful of how important their wellness (mental and physical) are to the organization as a whole and to the leadership. So my plan will be to go step by step and use some of the tools as guides to help me along the way to ensure greatest chance of success.
