Communication is Key!
The root factor for almost every objective and perspective lies in communication. The challenge with this is people have varying degrees of communication levels and also varying degrees of what kind of communication they’re comfortable with. So in a hierarchal system or organization where there is an abundance of power for a select few, it can very quickly create pockets of miscommunication, apathy, and breakdowns in the overall structure. Imagine if you were driving a car and you had to communicate separately between the left side and the right side or the systems in which those two sides of communication took place were completely different. It’s hard to say if you’d ever end up anywhere… If the same messaging isn’t being communicated from the top down, or vice versa, the reality of change or effective positive growth is slim. I’m looking forward to better defining the communication breakdown in my organization and sitting down with the variety of stakeholders that impact our workplace culture to make sure and get more than just two sides to the story 😉.

I completely agree:) Communication is at the core of every organizational success. As a Communications Professional I’ve seen firsthand how misalignment in messaging leads to confusion, disengagement and even resistance to change. Your analogy of a car trying to operate with separate communication systems is great, without a consistent, transparent, and inclusive approach to communication, organizations ca be fragmented. I love that you're taking the initiative to engage multiple stakeholders in identifying gaps and solutions. A truly effective communication strategy isn’t just about sending messages, it’s about ensuring they’re understood, accessible, and actionable across all levels.
