CWHP-A Reflections: Unit WWC01

Assessing Our Current State

The two sections from this unit that really stood out for me were the Employee Health and Performance Assessment and Root cause analysis. It was a great reminder of how important it is to not only hear directly from employees, stakeholders and clients but how helpful it can be to involve them throughout the full process. It also made me realize how important it is to continue raising awareness regardless of where we are or where we reach in this process.

The insight gained from root cause analysis, specifically regarding organizational structure and hierarchy's impact on staff performance, was particularly notable for me. It made me feel apprehensive about the complexity of the processes involved in implementing next steps. However, continuing my learning here I am sure will help keep me on the right track towards improving our organizational health.

I plan to share key learnings with our wellness committee over the next while to help inform and ensure we are collectively prepared to conduct a proper employee health and performance assessment for when the time comes.

I completely agree with your perspective on the importance of involving key stakeholders throughout the process. It's a difficult road to navigate (especially when it is a new concept, and our org doesn't use any type of 360 degree feedback model) - but I think it can add a lot of value to see some "external" perspectives.
