Reflection Unit 2-Hierarchy and employee health & performance assessments
The biggest take away from this unit for me was understanding how hierarchy structure needs to align with organizational culture. I have worked at several organizations that employed leadership styles that created internal competition and resentment instead of bringing out the best in people. Designing a hierarchy with layers to support the organizational culture and aligns with core values is key to success. Implementing employee performance and health surveys allows the organization to address areas for improvement. I have to say that personally, I have never seen or been given the option to fill one out like our example in this unit. I really enjoyed how the assessment focused on the entire wellbeing of both the organizational hierarchy as well as the employees. Organizations need to address employee feedback in order to improve and gain mutual success. 🙂
