Inspire to Integrate Reflection
My biggest takeaway from this lesson was the importance of learning to speak the language of those I am trying to engage. I am new to the financial industry, coming from a publicly funded institution. In order to effectively engage stakeholders from the various business units ranging from sales to corporate and everything in between, I will need to improve my skills in the art of persuasion and learn the languages that will influence the different areas. There will definitely be champions that require little encouragement to participate, but there will be resistance and having the skill set to overcome objectives will greatly increase chances of inspiring successful integration and buy-in across all areas of the organization.

I agree with you Lynn. Understanding our audience is key to creating engagement and inspiration. I also believe that creating internal connections can assist with this process.
