Fail to plan? Plan to fail.
Planning is so very important. As they say, "Fail to plan, plan to fail". So what does it mean to plan? Where does one start? I think that can vary in organizations depending upon where they are however some elements are key to success.
We need leadership to lead the way in supporting the goals and objectives as well as provide necessary resources; financial and human capitol.
Clearly defining objectives, actions, how to measure, timelines and who is responsible are all key tools in successful project management as well as change leadership. They are equally as important in building a healthy and high functioning work place.
And, last but not least, clear commmunication strategies, key messages, and two way communication will support the plan, increase engagement, and work toward common goals.
