Small changes add up
This week what stood out most was how to create small changes in your organization that can amount, in aggregate, to larger improvements in wellbeing even before you have the budget and strategies in place to promote bigger initiatives. There were some great ideas from the videos this week on what these smaller changes could be, including starting meetings with a round of gratitude, incorporating mindfulness techniques etc. Companies can also make policy shifts such as introducing wellness days, and encouraging their people to take days off to support self care. In tandem, these various changes might start to positively impact the wellbeing of the organizations, and employees. These changes could be recommended to companies that want to improve wellbeing, but might not be ready to dedicate resources (people, time, money) to a structured program or initiative.
