Shared responsibility and objectives

I like the ideas of shared objectives around wellbeing, but I am thinking about it from a slightly different perspective. I am starting from the premise that both a company and its people are responsible for maintaining and improving their wellbeing. A company should create a healthy environment and provide the right resources, and the people need to utilize these resources and regularly engage in activities that keep them healthy, both mentally and physically, so that they can "show up" and fully engage with work. The unit on responsibility also had me thinking that when it comes to health and overall wellbeing, we all have a role to play (company + people) if we want any tangible and impactful outcomes from our efforts and investments.

Yes! Joint responsibility and ownership is so important. Wellbeing professionals can do all the health promotion in the world but there is a certain level of engagement and trust required for employees to participate. This boils down to the type of culture that is created and the level of trust that exists (in my experience).
