Final Reflection - Wellbeing + Organizational Performance

My key takeaway from the first level of certification is the impact of health and wellbeing on an organization's performance. While I always understand and advocated for the importance of employee experience and the wellbeing of employees I hadn't really gone through all of the ways that it can impact an organization in terms of productivity and financial impact.


I appreciated going through the process from planning and establishing SMART goals and objectives to thinking through how we evaluate and celebrate our successes. Having a well thought out plan empowers us to stay on track, keep focused and showcase the value of this work. The key to this is remaining flexible and adaptable and not being married to that original plan but being able to work within it and expand and shift as needed. There's a fine balance to creating and applying a plan while also being nimble. A focus on continuous improvement and innovation will allow for success in the long run.


The world has changed so much in the past few years and I there is more of an emphasis than ever on the importance of wellbeing, in particular mental health, and I think all organization's would benefit from having a strong focus on planning their wellbeing programming.
