Final Reflection
This program gave me so much knowledge and understanding regarding employee wellness. One of the biggest take aways that I have learned is leadership buy in is essential in order for these plans to be successful. Organizations must model the behaviours in which they would like to achieve and to do this it has to come from the top down. Establishing a structural hierarchy that supports the company culture and encompasses desired outcomes is key. We need to have leadership motivating, inspiring and bringing out the best in individuals to achieve mutual success. Aligning processes and procedures that are clear and communicated to stakeholders is crucial. Offering open communication systems to allow for feedback, improvements, responsibility, and reward systems. Evaluating processes on a regular basis to determine improvement measures and celebrating achievements is essential. We can all take a few minutes out of our day to appreciate and provide gratitude to one another. I will continue to promote employee health and wellbeing in our organization by modelling the message. I will reach out to leadership to discuss ways to promote, encourage and inspire others to do the same. 😊
