It's all about culture
WOW! What an enriching experience so far. For me, one of the key aspects that I plan to talk about online (LinkedIn) and with my clients is the idea of a culture of health and performance, or a culture of wellbeing. I find that often wellness is viewed as a stand-alone thing, like having “Wellness Wednesday” or a weekly yoga class or a workshop. There’s nothing wrong with these activities, but it needs to be more than that. Wellness needs to be embedded in all aspects of a company, its culture, its policies and practices, its values, and so on.
I want to be part of growing that narrative and awareness among HR professionals and leaders. As part of this dialogue, I will share how workplace health and performance is not just an HR thing, but rather, should be owned by everyone.
Another way I’d like to provide influence is by sharing the small wins companies can do to help build a culture of health and performance even before they have a formal strategy. There are a lot of ways companies can start changing their practices and culture that can bring about positive results.

This course has really helped support what I've known intuitively in so many ways, but most especially that wellness isn't a program, but infused in everything we do--just like diversity and inclusion or accessibility. I'm so glad that so many of us are going to driving this message home!! Thanks for sharing, Sister in Arms!!
