Final Reflection Level 1
This level was a great foundation for me and so much more comprehensive than I had anticipated. I now realize that I came into this having less insight than I realized about the complexities of a well-designed and structured program.
Much of what we have been doing has been ad-hoc and based on emergent needs. With this course, I am now equipped to discuss the value (both VOI and ROI) and benefits with our Exec team and the company. I want to implement a well-defined structure that will enable us to engage more of the team while also putting effective measures in place to understand the effectiveness and outcomes as it relates to our goals/objectives.
I have also come to realize that a COH is so much more than a great workshop and some fitness challenges. It’s a significant aspect that affects the entire company from the framework, our leadership, and the overall true engagement of our team.
What I want to do:
Define what CALM is about - who it is for and how do we want to be branded in the company. Our new logo as of today: using Aplin colours
One of the first things I need to do is start a team of ambassadors. I can’t do this alone (outside of Sarah). I really need to sell this to the Exec as they could see it as a low-value initiative and one that doesn’t link to end results - perhaps an unnecessary distraction. So will really need to work on the VOI for this.
Get to know the team more to understand: what does our team want, and doesn’t want… do they relate to the program?
Issue a call to action with the Exec, but first I will need to collect data to share any results I can find - Survey Monkey, 1:1, attendee numbers, emails post workshops, NPS.
Does the leadership truly have buy-in -or is this seen as a great way to keep people engaged, but seeing it more on the surface as a "checkmark" that we offer but not seeing it as critical, not optional? Will they be willing to actively endorse, support, and promote it? programs tie into our business strategy and perhaps 5 core values?
Review the strategy map and any tools created through the WWC course.
Secure buy-in on new initiatives.
Create a clear communication and marketing strategy with our Marketing Manager. What and "how" will we communicate it?
Digital communications
Well-being intranet
Employee feedback surveys or focus groups
Personal testimonials/stories
Awards and recognition programs
Jeff messaging in town halls
Wellness toolkits and resources
I know there is much, but this is a good starting point for me. This course was a big eye-opener!

I love the clear action steps and new insights, Jill! I can relate to many. Wishing you the very best with this work - Aplin is lucky to have you.
