Model, Educate & Inspire

After completing the first level of the certification I would use the learnings to:

1. Lead by example: Be a role model for health and performance by practicing what I preach. Demonstrating healthy habits, such as taking regular breaks, engaging in physical activity, and maintaining work-life balance. Showing my commitment to personal well-being and encouraging others to do the same.

2. Communicate the benefits: Share the knowledge and insights I have gained from the workplace health and performance learnings with our Wellness Committee and all staff when possible. Highlighting the positive impact a healthy and high-performing culture can have on individuals, teams, and the organization. Emphasizing the endless benefits in a clear and creative way.

3. Educate and train: plan to offer educational sessions or workshops to provide our staff with the necessary information and skills to prioritize their health and enhance their performance. Coordinate sessions that cover topics such as stress management, nutrition, exercise, time management, and work-life integration. Encourage participation and provide resources for ongoing learning.

4. Foster a supportive environment: Create an atmosphere that supports health and performance by implementing policies and practices that prioritize employee well-being. This could include flexible work arrangements, access to physical activities, mental health support programs, and recognition for achievements related to health and performance goals.

5. Encourage collaboration: Foster a sense of teamwork by encouraging collaboration on health and performance initiatives. Create opportunities for employees to share their experiences, challenges, and successes. Encourage leadership to involve employees or the Wellness Committee in decision-making processes related to workplace health and performance.

Looking forward to fostering a supportive and engaging workplace health and performance strategy with the support of the Wellness Committee!

I like the way you broke things down for yourself! I resonate with your number 4 above. I have a lead role in policy/procedure research and creation at my organization so this is a good reminder of how I can use the learnings to continue to support employees in this area!
