It all begins (and ends) with Trust

The biggest stand out of this unit is how crucial trust is to well-being and building a high performing team. Engaging the team in envisioning and co-creating the future of the team is an inclusive and collaborative way of building alignment with the purpose and building trust in the process.

In my experience, leaders that built trust on the team got my best work and I will continue to keep this in the forefront when I'm building and working with teams.

I also love the distinction about how curiosity plays an important role in preventing us from empathizing from our own perspective. And how a simple - tell me more about that - can help to clarify what someone is saying and take us out of thinking we already know where someone is at!
