Social Determinants of Health
The Social Determinants of health really spoke to me. There are so many people that work for minimum wage and it is difficult to get ahead when the ends do not meet. Imagine the positive impact if a group of companies worked together and offered a community garden, shared a daycare and collectively offered educational opportunities. Done together it would lower the cost to the companies and the benefits would include a healthier, positive culture with less turnover and absenteeism. The ripple effect of engaged community members, happier families and potential for the next generation. How do we make that happen?

Love this reflection Tammy. It's so true, so many great ideas to create more social equity and opportunities for collaboration and togetherness. Great Q re how to make it happen. From my experience, really incredible opportunities happen when really incredible people step up and champion them and bring them to life, I think we get buy-in and momentum an pick one thing at a time. Keeping in mind, we can't champion all the things, We can help, but there has to be support, engagement, interest from the folks to run with it and keep it going when we are no longer in these roles. That's part of the sustainability piece.
Well done Tammy and also I am mostly super impressed with you keeping pace with this course as intended. I am only 8 months to one year behind you! LOL goal is to finish by end of Summer, you crushed it staying with pace of the group. Way to lead from the front.
