Budgets and finances and project managing—Oh My!
Looking back at this unit, please provide a critical reflection of how you will apply the learning. What stood out? What will you do differently?
I probably learned the most in this section, particularly the “Finance, Accounting and Budgeting” section. Not my forte!! I dwell in the land of possibilities so it’s good to bring things down to the practical level. I really have to pay attention to those pesky little things called budgets and finances and project plans!
I realized, though, that even if details aren’t my forte, they can be creative, so it’s inspired me to take a look at my perspective (always a healthy thing to do!).
Finally, I love the SOAR concept—it keeps the focus on the positive and I will be using this going forward. S.M.A.R.T. goals are great, but I’d rather SOAR.

,love this reflection. Oh I forgot about SOAR - it was so good, I am going to use that in our planning as well... For me it was the budget and financial piece too. I need to level up in tracking and budgeting what we want, where we are at and what we are investing overall - even if it comes out of different pockets and I don't have a real budget, its good to know the investment the organization is making across multitude of dimensions and budget-line-items (aka departments)
