Nitty-Gritty: Strategic Program Management Reflection
This unit was a challenge for me because I truly dwell in the visioning and inspiration space rather than the practical planning space. I am not a project manager and budgets are not in my wheelhouse so some sections of this unit made me feel like bambi on ice.
I do of course see the value of these tools, because not everything can be big picture. Eventually one needs to get to the nitty-gritty of a Wellbeing and Performance plan. It’s not just about the outcomes and the experience, it is also about the how and how much.
One thing that resonated with me was the triple constraint (or rather, quadruple constraint when you factor in scope) of time, cost, and quality. At least through my interpretation of the triad, it would be especially useful for managing expectations. Not all three elements can be optimized equality, and it is important to ensure everyone is in alignment for what should be given the most weight.

The finance/budget section was tough!! I, too, am Bambi on ice!! LOL. I'm the idea, pie-in-the-sky, anything is possible person--my colleague, Rita, excels at the Excels! Thank goodness for great partnering!
