Under the direction of the Workplace Wellness Lead, the Workplace Wellness Expert will be responsiblefor working with external Alberta Blue Cross clients and partners to support the implementation of thecorporate wellness strategy. FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Workplace Wellness Lead, the Workplace Wellness Expert will be responsiblefor working with external Alberta Blue Cross clients and partners to support the implementation of thecorporate wellness strategy. The Workplace Wellness Expert will be responsible for executing initiatives as outlined in theAlberta Blue Cross Corporate Wellness Strategy and as well, providing overall support to theWorkplace Wellness Lead. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Support the Workplace Wellness Lead in liaising with our customers to implement Alberta Blue Cross wellness solutions in their organization. Assist the Workplace Wellness Lead by providing background information necessary for project status and budget reporting related to the implementation of the Corporate Wellness Strategy. Support the ongoing development of existing and future relationships/partnerships with external wellness solution providers and/or organizations with a wellness focus. Deliver presentations to a variety of stakeholders and Alberta Blue Cross clients on the benefits of wellness and the Alberta Blue Cross wellness solutions. Support clients with their wellness vision, including providing techniques and tools for leadership engagement, employee engagement, analytics, wellness tools (e.g. Balance, Healthy Workplace Essentials, etc.) and marketing and communication materials. Follow-up and support external clients who are engaged in the Balance program to develop and help implement wellness strategies to encourage the successful engagement and utilization of Balance. Promote and support Excellence Canada – Healthy Essentials Workplace milestones with external plan administrators and/or wellness leaders. Work with Marketing, Corporate Communications and Customer Experience to facilitate communication and promotions to customers/external stakeholders. Create innovative wellness solutions following product and project management methodologies. Support the wellness governance structure by leading or supporting working groups and committees. Act as a subject matter expert in the delivery of workplace wellness programs or initiatives for some internal projects. Strong understanding and awareness of Alberta Blue Cross group customer portfolio. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Strong understanding of wellness and health promotion. Preference will be given to those candidates that have a university degree in a related health-focused field. 3-5 years experience in healthcare, public or community health, workplace wellness or related area. Ability to effectively communicate with senior management and corporate stakeholders. Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, including the ability to recognize issues and identify alternative solutions. Excellent interpersonal and engagement skills coupled with strong skills in verbal and written communication. Experience in project management, developing internal and external communication documents/reports or presentations. Understanding of OHS, National Psychological Health and Safety Standard and workplace wellness resources. Professionalism and excellence in presentation skills. Strong organizational skills. Skilled with Excel, Visio and other related software. Self-starter, quick thinker, decision maker, proactive and able to work independently. Provincial travel may be required.
