MENTAL HEALTH
FIRST AID (MHFA) FOR GROUPS

Online or In Person

MHFA is the help provided to a person developing a mental health problem, experiencing a mental health crisis, or a worsening of their mental health. More than 400,000 Canadians have been trained since 2007. The course will train you to recognize, respond and guide peers, family members and colleagues to the appropriate support. In the workplace, it will help you to engage clients and stakeholders with confidence, improve mental health among colleagues, and develop a common language and understanding. Pick from the 8-hour online course or a 12-hour in-person course. Note: this is a Mental Health Commission of Canada course, offered by trained facilitators through Wellness Works Canada.  We also have two open online classes:

THRIVING THROUGH DIFFICULT CONVERSATIONS

In an age of electronic communications and virtual work, many find the nuances of communication to be difficult to decipher. High rates of mental health concerns and online bullying and harassment have reduced patience, tolerance, civility, and respect which can be very damaging to the overall well-being of all parties involved. Join us in an interactive workshop to learn key skills around resilience and how to have those tough conversations with resolve and grace. Participants will receive a copy of their workbook and loads of other tools and resources for future use. A recording of the webinar will also be available for six months.
